The price was very reasonable and I am extremely satisfied.Gary The TV was in perfect condition and plays beautifully. Amazon.com is the best on line retailer I have ever dealt with. I ordered a high end plasma TV set and it came from PA to my door in TX in 3 days.
It keeps the water warm enough to prevent freezing so the birds and squirrels have water to drink. This product replaces one that we had used for years.
Today as I looked out, several cardinals and chickadees were sharing a drink. Our temperatures have been in the single digits with wind chills well below zero and to my pleasure this heater has kept the water flowing for my birds. I am very pleased, as usual with the quality and the price of this product and others that I have found on Amazon.com I was interested in a product that would keep my bird bath from freezing during cold months without spending a great deal of money. This bird bath de-icer has accomplished both.
Ours is a shallow bird bath and since the heater has a rather stiff electrical cord, we weighted it down with a rock to keep it completely submerged. Works very well. Even though it has a thermostat, we installed it on a timer so that we're not heating the water during the night when the birds aren't around.
The birds love having fresh water by their feeders and we seem to have more of them when there is water for them to drink in the winter. The bird bath de-icer keeps the water clear of ice here in cold NE.
